Privacy Policy

Effective date: 8 September 2026

Mcvillan International (“Mcvillan”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information when you visit mcvillan.org, contact us, or book a consultation. Mcvillan International is responsible for the personal information described here.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use the website, we may collect:

  • Contact information: your name, email address, phone number, company, service interest, budget range, and the contents of your message.
  • Booking information: your name, email address, phone number, requested service, selected platforms, notes, appointment date, time, time zone, booking status, Google Calendar event identifier, and Google Meet link.
  • Technical and security information: your IP address, browser user-agent, submission time, essential session data, and short-lived anti-abuse records.
  • Communications: emails and other correspondence you exchange with us after submitting a form.

Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, government identification numbers, health information, or other highly sensitive information through our public forms.

How and why we use information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to enquiries and prepare quotations, proposals, or requested information;
  • schedule consultations, prevent duplicate bookings, create calendar events and meeting links, and send appointment confirmations;
  • manage prospective and existing client relationships and maintain appropriate business records;
  • operate, troubleshoot, secure, and prevent abuse of the website; and
  • meet legal, regulatory, accounting, or dispute-resolution obligations.

We process this information when necessary to respond to your request, take steps toward or perform an agreement with you, pursue our legitimate business and security interests, comply with law, or where you have given consent. You may withdraw consent where consent is the applicable basis, although this will not affect processing that was already lawful.

Cookies and similar technology

We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party analytics. The website uses an essential session cookie to protect forms against cross-site request forgery and to limit abuse. Server and hosting logs may also record normal request information for reliability and security.

When information is shared

We do not sell or rent personal information. We disclose it only as reasonably necessary to:

  • our website hosting, database, and email service providers;
  • Google Calendar and Google Meet when you book a consultation;
  • professional advisers, authorities, or other parties where required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, and security; and
  • a successor or relevant party in a business reorganisation, subject to appropriate safeguards.

If you choose a Google Calendar or WhatsApp link, you interact directly with that provider and its own privacy terms apply. See the Google Privacy Policy and WhatsApp Privacy Policy.

International processing

Some service providers may process or store information outside Eswatini. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to use reputable providers and safeguards appropriate to the information and applicable law.

Retention

We retain enquiries, appointment records, and related correspondence only for as long as reasonably needed to provide services, maintain business and security records, resolve disputes, and satisfy legal obligations. Retention periods vary with the nature of the relationship. Information that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymised where reasonably practicable. The application uses recent submission records for hourly anti-abuse checks, while hosting logs may follow the hosting provider’s retention schedule.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls, encrypted connections where supported, restricted credentials, input validation, and anti-abuse controls. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable law, you may ask us to confirm whether we hold your personal information and request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent and raise a concern with the relevant data-protection authority.

To make a request, email info@mcvillan.org. We may need to verify your identity before acting. Some information may be retained where the law permits or requires it.

Children’s privacy

This website and our business services are not directed to children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has submitted personal information may contact us to request its removal.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our practices, services, or legal obligations change. The effective date above will identify the latest version. Material changes will be highlighted on this page where appropriate.
